How do I sign in?
With Google or Apple. The same account works on the website and the Anihood app. If your email already uses the other provider, sign in with that one once and Anihood links both.
Why does the map show my city, not my street?
On purpose. Anihood only ever stores and shows ~5 km area cells. See Privacy.
How do I change my area?
Open Settings → Update area. Use your browser location or search for a city or neighbourhood. Your anime move to the new area automatically.
The map around me looks empty.
Anihood widens from ~10 km to 25 km and then 50 km on its own when an area is quiet. If it is still empty, you are early: add your anime and invite friends. Every portfolio adds to the circles.
How is my anime match calculated?
It measures anime overlap only: shared top three favorites (weighted by rank), what you are both watching, what you have both completed, shared genres and your favorite character. Distance never changes the percentage.
Why can’t I message someone?
Direct messages open once you are both friends. Send a friend request from their profile. You can talk in anime rooms and local groups right away.
A message is covered. What does “ep 12 · tap” mean?
The sender tagged it as being about episode 12 and your portfolio says you haven’t reached it. Update your episode progress, or tap to reveal it anyway.
How do I pin my top three?
On Your Anime, pin up to three favorites and reorder them. Your #1 counts most toward matches.
